Camp Supernow:
San Francisco, CA

Role: Design Producer

During the height of the 2020 pandemic, I took on an exciting role at Camp Supernow, a virtual summer camp and after-school program for kids aged 5-10. Our goal was simple yet crucial: bring joy, social connection, and learning to children during a time of isolation.

The team created a unique formula that really worked - small group "cabins" with themed activities and large "Super Show" events, all led by enthusiastic counselors. This blend of programming successfully engaged both kids and their families, offering education and entertainment in one package.

As the Design Producer, I wore two hats - Content and Brand Design. My job was to expand our visual identity, develop new assets, and create animations for our virtual events. The aim was to build a vibrant, captivating atmosphere that kept kids coming back for more. Beyond just fun and games, we had a deeper mission. We wanted to support parents and caregivers in nurturing important character traits and social-emotional learning skills in their children. Ultimately, we strived to create a space where kids could be their true selves, feel a sense of belonging, and find joy in an uncertain world. This experience taught me so much about the power of creative, purpose-driven design in making a real difference in people's lives.
